Country Tours

WATCAC undertakes an annual tour taking up to 5 days. Each tour combines the obvious elements of tandem cycling, fun and fellowship with visits to country schools. Working with the teachers, WATCAC makes presentations about living with a disability and tandem cycling.

In our experience, school children – especially the young – are fascinated by tandems and the idea of cycling without vision. On the occasions when we’ve been accompanied by a seeing-eye dog, we – the humans – are reduced to bit-part players as the kids concentrate on the dog’s every move.

Here are some photos from some of our earlier tours to the Central Wheatbelt and Goldfields.
