Four WATCAC tandems accompanied them for the first 20km of Day 1, which concluded in Toodyay for this intrepid pair. For the record the trailer they are towing weighs 17kg, with the water bottles empty.

WATCAC riders on four tandems and one single bike are standing with Bas and Nga’s as they prepare to mount their touring tandem, loaded with front and rear panniers plus a ‘Bob’ style trailer flying a WA state flag.
Nine WATCAC members gathered in the early hours of Sunday morning to send off Bas and Nga at the start of their month long unsupported journey to Adelaide.
