A balmy autumn evening was an ideal backdrop for our May recreational group ride, celebrating Mother’s Day with a sunset jaunt. Five tandems and three singles took the riverside route from South Perth to Dalkeith…
Riding along dual use paths and quiet roads with salty river air on our lips, we arrived at the historic Sunset Hospital precinct to watch the sun go down. We heard the odd ghost story and swapped yarns just long enough for Jennifer to order pizzas for the group dinner. Then we were back in the saddle for the gentle return ride to South Perth. There we gathered at the South Perth foreshore picnic area and combined great company and pizzas against the backdrop of Perth’s night skyline.
A warm welcome to two new tandem pilots Keith and Brian who gave their time and effort to help make WATCAC’s blind and vision-impaired cycling program an integral part of WA’s vibrant cycling community.
