08 Nov 2020: Members’ Recreational Ride – Completed
The November Rec Ride is scheduled for Sunday, 8th November starting from Optus Stadium. Assemble at 8:00AM for a 8:30 departure for the 27.5 km ride.
From there we will cycle along the South Perth foreshore and Kwinana PSP to Canning Bridge for a coffee stop in Applecross. The return route will take us to the Perth side of the Swan River and over Matagarup Bridge back to the stadium.

06 Dec 2020: WATCAC Annual General Meeting & Rec Ride
The WATCAC AGM for 2020 will be held on Sunday 6th December, commencing at 10:00 AM, at Riverton Pavilion (adjoining Riverton Reserve), Noongar Way, Riverton (see map below).
Our meeting will form part of a Rec Ride, departing Rayment Reserve, Lathlain, at 08:30 and riding south to Shelley then on to the Riverton Pavilion for a refreshment break, catch-up and the AGM.
31 Jan 2021: New Pilot Clinic
This Tandem Clinic, held at George Burnett Park, Manning Rd, Karawara, coaches new volunteer cyclists on how to ride on the front seat of a tandem (pilot). They will be trained by experienced pilots and practice starting, riding and stopping on a short bike path loop as well as how to guide a person with vision impairment. They will also get a chance to experience what it is like to ride on the rear seat (stoker) with no vision. Please register your interest using the Contact Us page.
14 Feb 2021: Open Invitation Recreation Ride
This Recreation Ride from Lathlain to Shelley and back again will be open to all who wish to ride with us, both tandems and single bikes. Please register your interest using the Contact Us page.
27 Feb 2021: New Stoker (VI) Clinic

28 Feb 2021: New Rider Skill Development Ride
This skill building ride around Technology Park, Bentley allows the newly trained Pilots and Stokers to gain experience riding on road in a low traffic environment. The short ride is open to our members as well as those who have attended tandem clinics. Please register your interest using the Contact Us page.
The above rides are in addition to our regular ride schedule, commencing in February 2021. Please use the Contact Us page if you are interested in registering for any of these rides or to sign up as a “Friend of WATCAC” to receive WATCAC’s Tandem Talk newsletter and ride notifications.
Rec Rides are usually held on the second Sunday of the month and start at 8:00am for a 8:30am departure. The distance is generally 25-30 kilometers max at a gentle pace between 20 to 23 km/h.

Our Club Rides are usually held on the first and third Sundays of the month. Starting at 7:30am for a 8:00am departure. The distance is generally around 50 km at an average pace of 27-28 km/h.
